Dr George Aravanis was born in Lefkas island, Greece. He graduated from the Aristotelian University Medical School of Thessaloniki in 1990. He was trained in General Surgery in 401 Army General Hospital of Athens and in District General Hospital of Attica "SISMANOGLION". He continued his training in Plastic Surgery in District Anticancer-Oncology Institute of Athens "AGIOS SAVVAS" and in General Hospital of Athens "G. GENNIMATAS".
During his education he visited repeatedly the Department of Plastic Surgery in Liege University Hospital (C.H.U.) in Belgium, where he had the opportunity to cooperate with distinguished plastic surgeons.
In 2000 his plastic surgery expertise title was certified by the Hellenic Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
Between 2000 and 2003 he was in private practice in Rhodes island, Greece. Since 2003 he has been living and working in Athens, Greece. He has a private medical office in Neo Psihico and he is a cooperator in IASO General Hospital. In addition, he is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in the Department of Plastic Surgery in 401 Army General Hospital of Athens.
Dr Aravanis has a great interest in all aspects of Aesthetic Surgery (face, breasts, torso, etc). He is interested in Reconstructive Surgery also. Dr Aravanis has a special interest in the field of rhinoplasty. He has successfully performed hundreds of cases using the superior technique of open rhinoplasty. Difficult posttraumatic and secondary rhinoplasty cases represent great challenges for him.
Dr Aravanis has published many scientific articles in well respected plastic surgery journals. He has made numerous oral presentations in Greek and international plastic surgery meetings. In 1999 he was awarded with the 1st prize award by the Hellenic Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
He is a member of the Athens Medical Association, Hellenic Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).
